Rest, Rejuvenate, and Reconnect.
Our Mission
To create a place to slow down, rest, rejuvenate and reconnect with God and nature. Camp Tawakani is situated on 13 beautiful acres that allow for a variety of activities for your family or group.
History
Camp Tawakani was originally founded in the 1950’s for the Campfire Girls as a place to camp and practice new skills. The original lodge (Now called the Pathfinder Lodge) still stands today and is under reconstruction to get the building up to its former glory so it can continue for future generations. The main lodge was added in 1968 as well as many of the other buildings still on site today.
What started as 13 acres to go camping on for the Campfire Girls has been transformed over the years into a facility with 2 lodges, 10 cabins and a bathhouse.
Current Stewardship
The camp has been under the care of the Twin Falls Seventh-Day Adventist church since the 1980’s and continues to be used for church gatherings, youth group outings, and family reunions. Though the camp is managed by the Twin Falls Seventh-Day Adventist church, the facilities are open to groups of all sizes and denominations.
